- All-in-one Adhesive and sealant for glass splashbacks
We often get ask about the best way to fix glass splashbacks to the walls, so this is a quick guide to doing just that!
Splashbacks are fitted to the wall using mirror glue and then sealed all the way round with a suitable sealant. It’s as simple as that! The surface should be clean and free of obstructions and reasonably flat. Mirror glue, which is very strong, is striped onto the back of the glass panel and then the splashback is pushed into position against the wall. We recommend that you leave a gap of 2mm all the way round the glass splashback (including 2mm above the work surface) and then once the glue has cured, use the sealant to fill the gap.
Sealing the panel if very important because it will prevent any dirt or condensation getting in behind it. We have a product called Soudal Fixall for fitting glass splashbacks
, which is both the adhesive and the sealant in one.
Soudal Fixall is solvent free and odourless, making it suitable for hygienic environments, is fast drying, non staining and can be painted after curing if you wish. For more information about our superb range of glass splashbacks and the fix all product, visit www.mykitchenstore.co.uk
